Description:

Marcellus Quintus, a slave from Londinium, came to the ancient capital of Rome in chains and was sold into prostitution by his cruel master. The young slave suffers a hard and degrading life at the hand of his patron and the clients of the popular brothel, while he remains ignorant of his past and his true identity. Haunted by nightmares, and the voice of a ruthless stranger who is his mirror image, his only solace is senator Cealus Hortalus, who offers help in regaining his lost memory. When the theft of his patron’s assets is unjustly blamed on Marcellus, the poor slave’s life is in great peril as he is forced to endure the cruel punishments for the crime.

Meanwhile, 2000 years in the future, the Doctor finally discovers that he has entrusted the care of his defeated arch-nemesis in the wrong hands. He immediately travels back in time to rescue Marcellus, but will the Doctor be able to save the prisoner’s life before it’s too late?

Speaking of music vids that just blew me away, this one by Holywoodgrrl is one of my favorite. Beautifully edited with absolutely gorgeous transitions between scenes.

Darker music vid

I bumped into this one on you tube. The extraordinary way of editing just blew me away. The music and the images tell a story by its own. The incorporation of the LOM scenes mixed with images of the Doctor reminds me of this fic I've read just this morning by Amproof. They go so well together that it seems as if they belong together.

On the second day of Christmas, my day-off gave to me...

a chance to catch up with my readings, and I found a couple that made me a very happy person indeed! I love cross-overs. As long as they make any sense they tempt me into reading them any time, but these two by Amproof are absolutely amazing.

And yet another thing

God I sound like Jeremy Clarkson, he won't shut up either. I found Yunita's gorgeous music vid today. Like my music vid, it's dedicated to Edward Sexby, and I absolutely loved that song Candleburn by Dishwalla. Thought I should share the goodies!



I looked up the lyrics and still don't know what the song is actually about, but hey, who cares when you listen to that melody.

New chapter coming up

Wohoo! I was totally on the roll today! I've almost finished a new chapter of the story but I'm gonna leave it rest a bit and beta-read it tomorrow before I send it out into the cyberspace and terrorize everybody with my silly grammatical mistakes. My folks are coming around and I promised to cook them Christmas dinner, so there won't be much time to write I'm afraid, plus Doctor Who is on, and I'm absolutely not going to miss that! Still, I'm very excited about the upcoming chapters, and love to scribble them down as quickly as possible, I've got the rough lines of the story plotted all out in my head, but need to restrain myself from filling in the dialogue or the details, or else I wouldn't be motivated to finish writing. Most of the time, I'm typing away like a madman on my apple just because I want to know what happens next myself. Anyhow, you must be bored by my ramblings. A good Christmas to you all and expect a little gift in the form of a new chapter under the tree by tomorrow morgning!

One good thing about the holidays is that I'm no longer lab-bound and have time to sit at home and write the next chapter of my Donna/Master story. I've been dreaming about this for weeks! No more dreadful spreadsheets filled with rows and rows of numbers, hello virgin white fields to be filled with lovely words and my own imagination.

Sam in Ashes to Ashes?

I bumped into this piece of information on the internet. The source is Digital Spy, so you should probably take this with a whole truckload of salt...

It's an interview with Beth Willis, the producer of ATA. At some point the interviewer asked her a couple of questions about the fate of Sam Tyler.

Does Sam Tyler crop up again in this series or have we drawn a line under that now?

"I think we've essentially drawn a line but he does crop up a couple of times. We have a character from Life On Mars who will come up at some point during the series and that will inevitably reopen questions about Sam..."

Is it possible you could have John Simm back?

"I'm sure that would be an interesting thing to do but I think it would have to be story-led. What we know thusfar is that Sam Tyler's car went into the river and he died. So that would be a bigger picture we are exploring if he were to come back!"

Boulevard of Broken Dreams music video

This songmix is mainly composed out of Boulevard of broken Dreams (Greenday) and Wonderwall (Oasis). I took the main characters of Crime and Punishment and Casanova and I fitted each of them with a song. Rodya = Boulevard of broken dreams, and Casanova = Wonderwall. In the last part, the characters switch songs and their stories eventually become one in the end. Rodya Raskolnikov and Giacomo Casanova are played by the talented John Simm and David Tennant respectively. The clips are taken from the wonderful BBC series.
